Last updated on the date this page was published. Vemoye Foundation is a registered charity in England & Wales, No. 1188086, with a registered address at 167–169 Great Portland Street, 5th Floor, London, W1W 5PF.
By accessing the Vemoye Foundation website you agree to use it lawfully, respectfully and only for the purposes intended by Vemoye. You must not attempt to disrupt the service, exploit vulnerabilities, scrape data at scale or misuse any content published on the website.
Any individual may apply to join the Vemoye Network by completing the application form. Submitting an application does not create an account or automatically grant membership. Applications are reviewed by Vemoye and, during the pre-launch period, are held in a Waitlisted state until reviews begin.
Vemoye reserves the right to accept or decline any application, without obligation to disclose the reason. Approval is based on Vemoye’s assessment of alignment with the network’s purpose and capacity to contribute. Approved applicants receive an activation invitation by email.
Once activated, members are responsible for keeping their account credentials secure. Members must not share their account or password. Any activity carried out under a member’s account is deemed to be their own responsibility. Members should notify Vemoye immediately of any suspected unauthorised access.
Members choose whether to appear in the Vemoye Network Member Directory. Directory participation is reciprocal: opting out means both losing visibility to other members and losing access to the Directory and messaging. Members may change their preference at any time.
Information visible in the Directory is provided to enable professional connection within the Vemoye Network. Members must not scrape, copy, redistribute or use Directory information for unsolicited commercial outreach, advertising, recruitment mass-mailing or any purpose not consistent with the network’s stated aims.
Vemoye provides a private messaging feature so that members can start focused, professional conversations. Members must not use messaging to send unsolicited promotional material, illegal content, harassment, sexually explicit content or content that infringes the rights of others. Vemoye may review messages where a credible safeguarding, misuse or Terms concern is raised.
Vemoye organises webinars, events and other online or in-person activities. Members may reserve a place subject to capacity and availability. Vemoye may modify, reschedule or cancel any event where necessary and will notify affected members by email.
Reserving a seat is subject to availability. Where an event is full and a waiting list is enabled, members may join the list. If a seat later becomes available, the waiting list will be offered a place, valid for 24 hours. If not confirmed within that window, the offer is made to the next person on the list. Members may release a reserved seat at any time and are encouraged to do so if they can no longer attend.
The Vemoye Network is a volunteer network. Members agree to contribute their time and expertise on a pro-bono basis when they accept a project. Vemoye does not pay members for volunteer contributions and does not guarantee any specific volume of opportunities.
In due course, the platform will list opportunities to support Vemoye-partnered organisations. Applying to an opportunity does not entitle a member to participate. Vemoye and the receiving organisation may select, decline or defer any application based on fit, timing and capacity.
All content published on the Vemoye Foundation website — including brand marks, imagery, copy, illustrations and design — is the property of Vemoye Foundation or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Members may not reproduce, redistribute or create derivative works without written consent.
Members retain ownership of the content they submit to Vemoye, including profile information, bio text and messages. By submitting content, members grant Vemoye a limited, non-exclusive licence to store, display and process that content strictly for the purposes of operating the Vemoye Network.
Members must engage with each other and with organisations respectfully, professionally and lawfully. Discrimination, harassment, defamation, hate speech, sexually explicit content, threats and any behaviour that violates UK law or the spirit of the Vemoye Network are strictly prohibited.
Vemoye may suspend or terminate an account at any time where there is a credible breach of these Terms, safeguarding concerns, misuse of member data, evidence of impersonation or where Vemoye reasonably determines that continued participation is inconsistent with the aims of the network. Where possible, Vemoye will provide notice and an opportunity to respond before termination.
Vemoye takes reasonable steps to keep the website and member portal available. However, we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Planned maintenance and unplanned outages may occasionally occur and Vemoye is not liable for temporary unavailability.
Some pages may link to third-party websites (for example, partner organisations or LinkedIn profiles). Vemoye is not responsible for the content, availability or practices of third-party sites and services. Following external links is at the member’s own risk.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Vemoye Foundation shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss arising out of use of the website or the Vemoye Network, including but not limited to lost opportunities, lost profits or reputational harm. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence or for fraudulent misrepresentation.
Vemoye may amend these Terms from time to time. Where changes are material, affected members will be notified by email and/or through the member portal. Continued use of the platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
These Terms and any dispute arising out of them are governed by the laws of England & Wales, and the courts of England & Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
Questions about these Terms may be sent to hello@vemoyefoundation.org. Vemoye Foundation, 167–169 Great Portland Street, 5th Floor, London, W1W 5PF, United Kingdom. Charity Registration Number 1188086.
